RoofDog Roofing was built on a simple belief: your home deserves the same care and loyalty we’d give our own. Founded right here in Edmonton, we’re a locally owned and operated company specializing in high-quality asphalt shingle installation and repair for residential homes.
RoofDog Roofing is the result of years of hard work, one determined roofer, and an energetic pup named Dixie. Founded by Dan Barrie, RoofDog was built on the idea that a roofing company should be just as loyal and dependable as man's best friend. Dan spent over a decade climbing through every level of the industry, starting as a labourer and working his way up through roles like installer, foreman, project manager, and installation manager. He’s seen it all and learned exactly what it takes to get roofing done the right way.
What really set the vision in motion was a lesson Dan learned at home. After adopting Dixie, a playful and chaotic puppy, he realized that communication is everything. With the help of training and a little patience, the family learned how to work together with their newest pack member. That experience shaped the way Dan approaches his business today. Communication, consistency, and care are at the heart of everything RoofDog does.
RoofDog isn’t your typical roofing company. We don’t believe in rushed timelines, vague quotes, or leaving you in the dark about what’s happening on your own home. When you work with RoofDog, you work directly with Dan, the top dog himself. That means your questions get answered, your concerns get addressed, and your expectations get met from start to finish. We purchased our home in November and to our surprise the roof started to drip into the living room once we had a massive thaw. Dan came out assessed the situation. He explained everything and provided a fair quote. He even did the work in - 20C weather! Amazing!
